JT...probably not the one your inner teen girl is thinking of

Yesterday was the Josh Turner concert. Don't know who Josh Turner is? Well I didn't either until all of my friends started getting giddy about him coming here. I guess that right there goes to show you how little I know about country music, because he's had some hits! I like his songs Why Don't We Just Dance, Would You Go With Me, and Your Man. All really country. The concert was pretty good, his band played some fiddle and bass so I was loving the string instruments with bows, and it was a good time with friends.

The concert got me thinking though. There were people there in cowboy hats, like legitimate cowboy hats, and that must mean that they thought that their cowboy hat was important enough AND that they'll wear it enough that they should take it to college with them. Wow. I feel like if I was living in Texas I would have expected that, but I always forget how country some parts of the South are. I guess after seeing all of the cowboy hats I shouldn't have been to confused by everyone and their mother wearing flannel. And some girls wearing daisy dukes. When it was like 30 degrees outside last night. I was in jeans, long sleeves, a sweater, scarf, and jacket with warm socks right there next to short shorts girl and her little flannel shirt and cowboy boots. Maybe next country concert I go to I'll have those items in my wardrobe? Maybe not..

Also, as Josh Turner was singing, I kept on hearing references to God, and church, and Jesus. Cool. Then I noticed in his music videos up on the screen, every time he had a love interest in them, they were both wearing wedding rings. LOVED IT. And then he sang a song called Jesus is the Answer. I about freaked out right there in my seat. I mean a well established artist is there singing to me about Jesus?!

Then as he was winding the show down he introduced his band, including his wife on keyboards. And his wife got almost as much applause as him!

Oh America...

Sometimes words just fail.

Cotton Candy is so good. It's like eating a cloud. A tasty cloud. Because I don't imagine a real cloud would taste like sugar goodness. But I digress - clearly cotton does not leave me at a loss for words.
This does. See?! No words.
But it's reassuring that we're so excited about being poud! I mean they remembered an exclamation point. And really, isn't that more important than a measly R? Yes! Yes, it is!!!

Can I Go Do This?

These are so cool.

I like to eat.

I like to move.

I like to learn.

Maybe I could do something along these lines with my photos....

It's Bo Time!

Have you ever had Bojangles? I had it for the first time approximately 1 year ago! I think that calls for celebration, because since then let me tell you, I've become a fan. It is the quintessential Southern fast-food joint to me; they have sweet tea, fried chicken and biscuits, and then their magical Bo-Berry Biscuits. I consider myself to be a healthy eater - normally - but sometimes a Bo-Berry Biscuit is just calling your name! If you haven't had one before, go. Now!

They're famous for a reason.

I may have enjoyed Bojangles three days in a row with my family and friends while on vacation....What can I say? We were all hooked!

Mmmmagical!
